Lisa Yee’s debut novel, Millicent Min, Girl Genius, won the prestigious Sid Fleischman Humor Award. In 2010 she will have over one million books in print, including Stanford Wong Flunks Big-Time, So Totally Emily Ebers, Absolutely Maybe, and her new bestselling series starting with Bobby vs. Girls (Accidentally) and Bobby the Brave (Sometimes). A Thurber House Children’s Writer-in-Residence, Lisa has been named a Fox Sports Network “American in Focus,” Publishers Weekly Flying Start, and USA Today Critics’ Top Pick. Other accolades include Washington Post Book of the Week (twice), American Library Association Notable, and a National Parenting Publications Honor for her American Girl historical novel, Good Luck, Ivy. Prior to being an author, Lisa has been a TV writer/producer, journalist, and creative director of her own marketing/design company, Magic Pencil Studios.
